having issues with these two mugs lids a...

having issues with these two mugs lids and have tried attaching multiple ways but when I go to drink my coffee it is leaking everywhere. This morning had to use lid from an old mug that works just fine but old and tired and why I wanted to replace. Not sure what my options are, please advise.
