Broken binding

I ordered this book after hearing of this story on Antique Roadshow. The story takes place on a small lake in a Park in Boston, Ma. where my Mother was born and raised. I was satisfied with book even though the books binding was broke. It appeared that they had run several of these books and there was a batch of books that went through the press wrong. I still LOVED the story and the books condition was satisfactory. The book was not a 1941 as described, It was new with a bar code stamped on the back cover. *** maybe
