No monthly fee on XT2
I needed to put some cameras at my elderly parents house. These are great because they do not require a monthly subscription. Which is great when you have limited income. The camera's themselves are pretty expensive but at least you aren't paying over and over again like with Ring.
Camera's have great views during the day. They are "ok" at night. I like that you can adjust the motion zones and disable motion on 1 of the camera's in your group. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the motion. The camera's have temp readings which is important to me since I live in a hot state and your camera is in direct sun. I mounted one in a bird house to keep the heat off it. Live view and the 2 way talk function works well. Over 5 days, I had at least 500 clips show up and batteries still look good and I didn't even get to 50% of the cloud storage.
I wish there was a better alert when the system detects motion. I put the app on my parents tablet and there is no way they can tell if there is a new motion clip unless they look at the tablet and see the "B" at the top. Additionally, it can sometimes take quite a while for the clip to show up. By the time you see the clip, the burglar could have already gotten a couple loads out of your house.
Another big negative is that you can not access the clips from a desktop computer unless you are running an android/ios emulator.
Even with the negatives, this camera is lower priced than others, its waterproof, takes AA batteries, interface is easy to use, easy to set up, and has NO MONTHLY FEES. That makes these camera's a winner in my book.
