great great great book!
this is one of my favorite books! it has just the right amount of quirkiness and genuine emotion combined with a great storyline to make it a truly enjoyable read. nichols paints a wonderful portrait of small town life and the characters who inhabit it.

Quick, easy, and waterproof!
As a first time user of this product, I was very impressed with its ease of application, fast drying time, and the size of the bottle. I treated a leather purse and a windbreaker, and there was plenty for both. I tested both items out after they dried, and like the product says, they are both repelling water. I haven't tried these in a heavy rain, so not sure how waterproof they are, but in a light rain the water beaded off no problem. There is a very strong odor, so I sprayed both items outdoors. Smells like fresh linen fabric softener. Did not discolor either item or change the appearance in any way. So far, so great!

intrigue and romance
I have read many Oppenheim books and am a big fan of his writing. This book does not disappoint. It is well written, has the elements of political intrigue and romance that I come to associate with his works, and keeps one interested throughout the novel. I also like that his books are appropriate for younger readers as well, probably since they were written in a time when graphic sex scenes rarely existed in literature, and the descriptions of violent acts were kept to a tasteful minimum. This is not my favorite of his books, but a wonderful read all the same. I would recommend this book to anyone ages 13 and over that this subject matter would appeal to.
