The 3rd book of Buckskinning had many useful articles on 18th century cooking, the hunting pouch, and techniques for making footware as well as period shelters.
All of the buckskinning series has something of great intrest. Some of these skills may be needed one day for survival, one never knows!

Wilson Staff Pi5 Irons. Why pay $1,200 for a set?
These irons are very workable, almost like hitting the Ben Hogan Apex. With these clubs, an experienced golfer can draw or fade at will. Take for instance the shot I had last year. I was 20 yards dead behind a large Weeping Willow on a 90* dog leg par four with a 15 yard wide fairway to the green. I decided I should play a draw. With water to the right and OB on the left, it seemed like the best thing to do. I had 170 to the green and used a five iron because with the draw shot, it was a steep draw, but to the left, it definatey would have had to be a slice. I landed my draw shot within 4 feet of the pin to birdie on a bermuda green. No wonder this is the club that Padraig Harrington uses. He is a smart golfer.

I have changed the lie on these clubs to 1* flat because of my short stature and have increased my accuracy to the level of shooting a 68 yesterday, a very windy day. This is the first time I've shot under par. The results of having my clubs fitted was placing a 5 iron shot, 213 par three to within two feet for a one putt. While using the 3 iron, I noticed that I could hit long irons as never before. These clubs are going to turn me pro status.
