poor quality steel not worth purchasing

I peeled one small size green lodgepole pine log 9 feet long and when I looked at the blade edge it was severely notched already, indicating very poor steel. I have used many drawknives in the past and have NEVER had one notch like this, AFTER ONE SMALL GREEN LOG. I would not recommend this quality knife foe any sort of large or small prokject

perfect replacement

I bought this for an old Husky 55 saw that I acquired that had been through a lot of neglect and abuse. This starter assembly seemed to actually be the only deficient part of the saw-besides a very thorough cleaning-and after I put this part on it started on the second pull! As with many other people whoi bought this part I had to modify the attachment holes just a little bit, took about 10 minutes. The "worthless" saw now hums like it was brand new.
