Great Lens!
4 of 4 found this helpful Small max. aperture but this allows a relatively compact size and low weight, making this a practical carry lens and easy to hand-hold. The viewfinder image is still bright in my A850. Focusing is very fast despite this being the original, not the SSM II, version. The slim barrel extends when zooming which in combination with the incredibly deep lens hood combines to create the deeply unfashionable "drain-pipe" look at the 300mm mark, however this is more than mitigated by excellent image quality at any aperture.
Very good build quality. Good Handling.
A great combination of practicality and performance for a zoom lens with this range and reach.
Recommended.

Great addition to my Fiat Panda.
Well recognised TomTom satnav performance perfectly integrated into the car. My only complaint is that the central positioning makes it awkward to reach if I need to touch the screen whilst on the move.

Bought for indexing a CD collection. Ideal for this and similar applications. (And cheap)
