The gold standard in Cryptocurrency Mining.
6 of 8 found this helpful The S9's are what all professional Bitcoin mining facilities use. They are the most power efficient unit available at this time. That said, they do use a lot of electricity and are loud. For home users you can run up to 4 of these units on a 30A 220 circuit in your garage and muffle the sound by putting them in a ventilated enclosure. Personally this is how I do it... I have each S9 vented through 4" dryer vent to my attic so the garage stays cool and the noise level is reduced substantially. If noise is not a concern I'd still recommend coming up with a ventilation solution to keep the chips running cool.
Prices do fluctuate on these miners with the price of Bitcoin but remember the $$$ you make is dependent on the cost of Bitcoin when you sell. These units are capable of making just shy of 1 Bitcoin / year (based on current difficulty), so its up to you if you sell your proceeds when Bitcoin is at $10,000 a coin or $50,000 a coin.
