It’s no Dragonfly Black

Can’t say it is superior to the $9 Apple dongle sound wise. The long cable is a nuisance and the controls are redundant. They no longer have the app on iTunes to update the firmware, so that’s a concern.

Reliable, Competent But Lacking in Showiness

I have had several Pioneer SX-312R and to a one they have been reliable, competent and a pleasure to own. It lacks the showiness of their earlier silver age brethren, with no meters or lights or the digital animation of some later models. It has great sound quality, an equalizer, solid tuning and a phono input, everything a receiver should be.
