Not fitting well
I brought both driver and passenger assemblies. None of them fits well enough. The Volvo head light assembly used two bars to hold, and one plug, very simple and easy design. They are the cheap version of the original, and I did not even expect the same quality since I am only paying half of the price. They are not only missing/replacing the metal parts, but also simplified the original design. I was comparing them to the originals. I can accept that. However, I expected at least, they would fit or possible to squeeze into somehow. Not possible.
The driver side is a little better. I just need to ease the left low support because there was excessive plastic blocking the pin to fit the hole properly. Sand off the short bar, and push really hard.
The passenger side was a nightmare. I guess the manufacturer knows the problem. They already cut the holder part inside the plastic where the patten suppose to hold the bars firmly. Guess what, not enough, I need to cut more. The orginal Volvo part has a nice T shape plastic piece that push againt the holding bar, now I got a big open square in it and I have to thinner the edge. There were no space what so ever to fit the bar. And the worst part, after I did all of these and finally install it. I found a piece of plastic "waste" inside the light house, which I did not touch at all in the installation. It was a bouns piece from the manufacturer. If not enough, the gap between the passenage side light assemble and the front bumper is over 2 cm. I can imagine the rain can easily finds the way in.
Given the price I paid, to be fair, I would rate it OK. A bit of handy man work and bad words when you install them, but at least they can be installed, not completly garbage that I have to return. And I consider the fact that the theory of thermal expansion and contraction did not work on your side. But, you know you do ship these light assemblies to Canada.
