Reliable and rugged.
For the price Shure SM57s and SM58s are very rugged and reliable microphones for general use... especially where regular setup and teardown, on-the-road travel, or young band members are involved.

Well made & effective
Every time I used to run my planer I spent lots of time cleaning up the chips which had been broadcast over half the shop. The new dust hood is heavy gauge steel, fit right up to the mounting holes on the planer and catches 99% of chips (mine is connected to a mini cyclone separator and large shop vac).
