Best of the pack at this price point
2 of 2 found this helpful Very high quality aluminum jack. Superior to others at the same price.
(1) it's almost entirely aluminum. The only ferrous steel parts I could find were: hydraulic pump and lateral lift bar, the hoods of the small rear casters, rubber padded jack plate, hardware. Other "Aluminum" jacks have more steel parts (like the lifting arms) and weight at least 10lbs more.
(2) front casters seem to be high quality. They roll very smoothly with close tolerances.
(3) overall fit and finish were very good. No raw/sharp edges, nice paint, properly lubed and ready to use.
I also bought a HF "Aluminum" 2-ton at the same time and side-by-side it was very clear the JEGS jack is a better made, higher quality tool.
