As described
Performs as manufacturer describes. This is my 3rd one. First Stingray "Jr". It lived up to the hype. Quick hole shot. Comes up flat quickly. Holds plane at lower speed. More stable with one person on board. Didn't really change top end. 15hp Tohatsu on a 14' "tinnie" before and after are significantly different. Highly recommended.

Quality/value in balance
I have found that Matzuo seems to have found the correct balance of quality and value in this product, as well the innovative design feature of the sickle shape. Many quality hooks are on the market-most are overpriced. These hooks are of high quality but are priced for those of us who choose to not pay for a name. The sickle shape seems to be better at holding fish with the barbs crimped as we are, by rule, required to use barbless hooks- no science, but experience seems to indicate this to be true. Maybe Matzuo could put a barbless version on the shelf?
