Awesome durable press for up to 4 cups of java!
Put away our espresso maker and in it's place is now this French Press & 1-Liter AmazonBasics Stainless Steel Electric Kettle. Week one was trial & error. The press says it's capacity is 1L but putting in that much water makes it impossible to plunge without overflowing. I fill between .75L and 1L on the kettle, turn it on and within 4 min have boiling water to pour over grounds. Place top on but don't plunge for 4 more min then plunge and enjoy. It will keep java hot for a while but not as long as if it were in a sealed carafe. We can get 4 cups of coffee which is the equivalent of 2 travel mugs. Plenty for the two of us. Cleaning is easy. The filter section will unscrew but using the sprayer on my faucet is usually adequate to clear the grounds. I hand-dry the outside immediately to keep it shiny without water spots.
