Good photo album
Brings back memories from era when I was a train spotter there. Often this era is forgotten in books, nice to see it. Would have given 5 star but for the printing quality is not quite as good as a normal book: this book is ink jet printed.

Good hardware patch between old tech and new
I am using it to connect a Nikon LS2000 slide scanner scsi 50 pin to my FireWire cable and into my iMac. I use Vuescan software to do the scans. Amazingly it all works very well. Saves me buying a new scanner. Big cost for the Ratoc adapter as now scarce on market but important thing for me is that it works and as I have 20,000 images to scan the unit cost is still small. Also I guess the Ratoc would retain a good resale value so maybe true cost not as much I paid for it.

A good buy
1 of 1 found this helpful Scored highly in 'Which?' - which drive me to select this model and make. All works very well as designed and also looks stylish. Only criticism is that the interior light stays on when the door is left open, flooding my otherwise dark kitchen with light at night. This is an issue as I keep the door ajar when not in use to stop moisture building up inside. So to avoid 'light pollution' I ended up needing to switching the appliance off at the plug socket each time after use. That therefore means I can't practically use the clock function and there's a delay of several seconds when the mains power is switched on while the appliance boots up.
