Compact with very good reception distance.
This unit seems to be very powerful in that it pulls in many more wifi hot spots then a regular card in a laptop or tablet. I have not found a problem with it at all. My tablet did not have enough power on it's USB port so I did need a booster but that is the tablet it self's fought.
