Bullet Proof!
1 of 1 found this helpful I would say that the term "bullet proof" applies perfectly to this head. The quality is evident from the moment you pick it up. It's no wonder it's used all over the world by medium and large format photographers. Once it's clamped down, nothing moves. I'm now looking for one of their smaller heads to use with my smaller gear.

Better than no manual at all, but not by much.
This manual won't help the average home mechanic much. Very poor pictures, limited instruction, skimpy on details. This is meant to be used by a factory-trained BMW mechanic who already knows the bikes well. It's way better than nothing...but be prepared to figure out a lot of the details on your own.

Top notch machining...much better quality than other adapters. Highly recommended.
