too complex a machine. I couldn't get it to work

2 of 5 found this helpful the dial is hard to move. Stations are unpredictable.....one time they work....maybe at night they don't. Not consistant. Lots of static and interferences. Speaker clarity is poor and sounds are tinny. I'm not that happy with it but it's better then nothing and better then battery driven and the d batteries are expensive so I don't use it by them but by ac power. Since I can't afford a better ac radio I have to be satisfied with poor performance. The volume is not consistant. Keeps changing on its own and I have to keep my fingers on it to keep it from being so loud that it disturbs my neighbors. I wouldn't buy it again or recommend anyone to either.
