Good quality stamp for this issue. The cancellation has some significance in an ongoing study.

Cape of Good Hope stamps
Interesting area of the African Continent, this British Colony has many hitorical events and narratives that can be traced through a study of their postal system. Some stamps and their usages provide insight, while other are just enjoyable to view. Of the hundreds of countries that issue stanps, those of early Cape of Good Hope have one of the most vibrant and harmonious color schemes. Particularly prior to the UPU standardized denomination colors.

Sticky traps - where best used
The actual area of the ''sticky'' substance is about 45% smaller than the more common traps. Therefore it's effective for smaller critters than the regular traps. Less area means less liklihood the critter will hazard across the trap. For mosquitos, etc, also less likelihood. BUT the thinner trap can fit nicely on a window sill or frame. This is good, using them for that purpose and it's working.
