Abysmal quality. Keep clear of this release..!
I have always enjoyed this movie and remember owning it on VHS at one point. It probably won’t get a Blu-ray release anytime soon, so I decided to take a chance with this DVD release as it said “Restored Classics” on the cover. It cost me me just over £20
- I should have saved my money.
The transfer looks like absolute shit. The resolution is 360p at best, there is no grey scale whatsoever, blacks are grey, greys are white - you get the picture😕 You can probably download a better version for free on YouTube.
I’ve been collecting VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, Blu-ray and UHD for most of my life and I still buy tons of classics on DVD, so I know what a “restored classic” ought to look like on this format.
Money wasted is the only way to describe it.
