Great - A bit pricey but a good bargain in the end
These work great, are tough, look nice and are quick and easy to install. I expect them to last longer than the light switch that they're mounted on.
A little expensive for a small piece of injection-molded plastic, but then the manufacturer no doubt invested many thousands of dollars just to get set up to make them. Even at the price charged, they've got to sell many thousands of them to make a profit.
I have a home machine shop and I tried making similar ones one at a time. The time required makes the ready-made ones seem like a great bargain.

Good for microscope samples
As an amateur microscope enthusiast, I use these dishes for pond water and similar samples to be viewed under a stereo microscope. They are a convenient size for my needs and can be washed and reused if rinsed with non-chlorinated water. The tops are clear and flat enough to view through them with not too much optical distortion.

Great little flashlights
I bought a set of 5 of these about 2 years ago to use as illuminators for my stereo microscopes. They work great for that application, but I only needed two. I started using the extra ones around the house and quickly adopted them as my "go-to" flashlight. I keep one by my bed and use it to navigate to the bathroom at night.
The overall quality and finish is excellent. The threaded parts fit precisely and smoothly and rubber o-rings provide a tight weather seal.
One thing I really like: they use standard AA alkaline batteries. But I use Eneloop rechargeable batteries so I always have a very bright beam. A fully charged battery will last several weeks when used intermittently. I haven't tested how long they last staying on full-time.
Another thing I really like: the focusable beam is very handy. Outdoors at night I can focus the beam to see what's moving in the woods 50' away. Indoors, navigating through the dark house at night, I keep the beam wide to avoid bumping into furniture, etc.
There are three brightness settings, selected by pressing the button on the end of the flashlight: bright, dim and flashing.
I haven't tested them in extreme weather, but I was a backpacker for many years when I was younger. I would feel very confident taking these into the woods with a few extra batteries and a backup flashlight. ("just in case", since things happen)
