Great for the money.

This meter is great for the money. Very versatile. Does everything the average homeowner would need it for. Be careful not to touch your leads to 120VAC while in milliamps mode as it is not a protected circuit and will damage many of its functions. Otherwise it works great.

Lisle 30280 Automatic Center Punch

Good while it lasts.

This is a great automatic center punch. It’s spring loaded tip puts a dimple right on the spot you want to drill. You can carefully lock in your drill bit to it and put your hole right where you want it. Perfect for the DIY’er. The problem with it is they do not last long. I run a metal fabrication shop and we go through a lot of these. The mechanism that “catches” and releases wears out and the tip will not “pop”. At that point, you chunk it and get a new one. For the casual user, you should get plenty of use out of it. We have used other brands and types and they all do the same thing, so it’s the nature of the beast. All in all its a good product.

A versatile tool - a must-have.

I am a production manager in an electrical panel shop and this tool is a must-have for the mechancal assembly, wiring and Q.A. depts. It is very versatile and has great torque. It can drive down bolts as well as tighten delicate wiring connections. It has an adjustable speed trigger, adjustable torque settings, so you don't overtighten, and an adjustable trigger handle for comfort. It is reversible. The battery pretty much holds to full strength to the end of the charge, and we get several days work out of it before recharging overnight (so I can't tell you much about charge time). The batteries are comparatively inexpensive to replace (find them on eBay!). There is a flat head and phillips head bit imbedded in the handle for convenience. We use other standard bits and nut drivers with it. I also have this tool at home. It is my personal favorite. I have found no shortcomings with it and have been using them for the last 10 years.
