Excellent value for money
Although I've only used my fax machine briefly since installing the new cartridge, I have no complaints so far. The only question is: why such a low price for an OEM product which is listed at much more? Is it outdated stock or what? Whatever, at this price I can't complain.

Limited viewing of Activity Indicator
Compared with my original Corsir Flash Voyager of the same capacity (32GB) the X1 has one distinctive CON (ie, disadvantage). Despite being on the end remote from the USB connector, the activity LED is visible only from above whereas the original could be seen end-on. This is a disadvantage for my application where the device is used for PVR storage on a set top box at high level. In all other respects the two devices appear to be identical.

Good value for money
Pros: Effective and stylish.
Cons: Ferrous metal fittings, although painted or plated, will undoubtedly rust. A liberal smearing of grease was applied to offset this for the future.
Difficult to fit to a very short chimney pot; there was less than an inch between the bottom of the cowl and my chimney pot surround slab. Thus, I had to bend the retaining straps under the cowl and shape them to fit so that the clamping band could take effect. I did consider using only the strap fixing screws to clamp the cowl to the chimney pot but it is doubtful if the screw end faces would have exerted sufficient pressure to withstand wind uplift and therefore decided that forming the straps as described was the better solution.
