This is an intimidating self-defense weapon!!
The instructions are very lame, but the product is definitely worth the price. Even if the zapper part dies, for the price paid, it's still an OK rechargeable LED flashlight.
The "ON/OFF" switch on the butt end is a safety switch for the zapper, but the flashlight still works.
The carrying pouch is flimsy garbage not capable of securely carrying the unit. Throw it out.
Intimidating? How intimidating you ask? I won't even contemplate testing it even-just-a-little-bit on myself.. or any 'friends.' The sparks are very bright and very loud. I can definitely smell the ozone the sparks create. Just out of curiosity, I discharged the zapper an inch or so above calm water in the sink. The sound pressure waves definitely disrupt the surface reflections.
