The Sea of Fertility
If you are interested in Japanese literature (Kawabata, Basho, Hearn, etc.), you need to read Yukio Mishima's tetralogy The Sea of Fertility. It includes The Temple of Dawn, Spring Snow, Runaway Horses and The Decay of the Angel. Together they are a journey across time and the forces that made Japan what it was when the tetralogy was completed.

AS PROMISED!
I wished to complete Mishima's tetralogy The Sea of Fertility. I had Spring Snow but in a softcover version. Thanks to half.com I now have the hardcover version.
