Charming book
I purchased this book specifically because of the segment on home made soap making; however, I ended up reading the whole thing from cover to cover. What a delightful and charming story and how fun to take a journey into the past. Kudos to the author for presenting such a heart-warming story.

Looks like it would be good.
Okay, to be honest, I've only tried to use it once and it was a disaster. One unit (the blue one) worked fine; however, when I tried the red one (the one I needed), I couldn't get the fabric to go through no matter what I did. I finally gave up and made the bias tape by hand with just my iron. I'm sure there's a learning curve where one has to get used to using it ... I just haven't gotten there yet.
