One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen
6 of 7 found this helpful This movie grabbed my heart from the very first scene. The acting, photography, directing and writing flows so naturally it feels like I am watching a real group of people in a real community in real time. I forgot I was watching a movie until the ending....and then I wept because it was over. I have watched this movie nearly a dozen times now and each time I feel like I am seeing it for the first time. Has a place on my top 5 favorite films and a place in my heart forever.

Well-paced intriguing mystery with a compelling main character.
This is one of a series of books featuring Peter Ash. But this can be read as a stand-alone book. It is my favorite of the series because it takes the character out of his comfort zone in America and to Iceland where he has to work almost completely on his own to find and save a missing child. It is well-paced and the supporting characters are given enough depth to stand on their own without having been part of the series. And, honestly for me, I was glad to see Ash without his usual supporting characters because i don't believe he needs them. I would like to see another story in this series like this one- using just the main character to solve the mystery. I give this story 5 stars. I have no cons with this book.
