Yup, a brand-new, genuine Briggs & Stratton factory replacement part.
The title should be all you need to know. It's an OEM part, made to OEM specs and fits perfectly.
Due to the vintage, I was expecting metal. But it's plastic, which is fine, as it appears to be glass-reinforced nylon (a strong, high-quality composite). It's quite rigid and should prove more than adequate for it's purpose.
It fits perfectly and went-on easily with the included attaching hardware (two screws).
I'm glad to have found it here (especially for such a reasonable price), as this is an obsolete part that's getting scarce.
Very pleased with this purchase.

Built to a price, but a whole lot of value for that price.
An elegant execution of making the most of what you have to work with, this is about as good a stand for under $10 as anyone could reasonably hope for.
It's constructed of inexpensive materials (steel and plastic and/or rubber), using as simple of manufacturing processes as possible, yet it's functional, versatile and sturdy. It may not have all the features of far more expensive stands, but it does have the most useful ones, including adjustable height to fit a variety of instruments.
For my purposes (a casual amateur), the only area wanting, is it could really benefit from a larger support base. As is, it's stable enough, and would take a moderate blow to fully knock-over, but it doesn't take much to make it tip some. That said, such an improvement would make the stand bulkier and more expensive, so make what you will of this complaint.
All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with it, and would recommend it to anyone that wants a basic, cheap stand.
