a little bit off...

It appears to be about 1/2 degree off at 45 degrees when compared to a measuring square. The arms on the protractor have a slight spring-back in the friction of the arms so to get the most accurate measurement you need to take your readings while holding the arms firmly to your measured surface. After some practice on scrap pieces I was able to compensate for the slight inaccuracy and it turned out to be a pretty useful tool.

suits the needs of my cat

It's well finished on the outside but it's really only built of cardboard on the inside. The cover has a zipper to remove it for cleaning although it would probably be a pain to refit the cover after cleaning. It's great for my cat as she's getting older and can't jump as high as she used to.

Check light operation before final installation

Bought left and right sides. They fit well but I did reposition the adhesive gaskets that were attached so that they more closely aligned with the mounting studs on the lights. Also, the right running light (the one with the brake light) did not work initially when I initially plugged them up before mounting into the car. I found that one of the pins in the light mounted harness go pushed out of place when plugged into the car harness. Apparently the contact pin was not "locked" into the connector properly at the factory during assembly. Pushed the pin into place and pulled on it to make sure it was locked in, re-connected my car harness and all was good to go.
