wonderful plug-n-play ESP module
Works with Arduino ESP as a NodeMCU 1.0. No problems, just plug it in and Windows recognizes it as a UART-USB device. Blink and Wifi example sketches just work.
So inexpensive for an easy-to-program Wifi microcontroller.

it works, it's pretty cheap
1 of 1 found this helpful I had to provide somewhat more than 12V to get it to run reliably. It would sometimes stop running at 12V.
It is louder than some other pumps (but not extremely loud).
It does indeed pump air and water.
And it will pump water up the 1-meter tube even if it starts empty/dry. Wow... I was going to give this 3 stars, but it's really good for the price.

quiet and decently powerful, but won't pump air
I have two of these which I'm using to automate the watering of my plants. As I recall, they draw a little less than 1A when pumping water. They are much quieter (when actually pumping water) than some other cheap self-priming pumps I've tried, but if the water level falls too far for them to pump then they will churn much more loudly as they fail to do anything with the air-water mixture.
Pushes water up 3 or 4 feet at a good rate through 1/2" tubing; pushes very slowly (perhaps only 1/10 as fast) through 1/4" tubing.
