DVD-Audio at its finest
1 of 1 found this helpful This rare high resolution disk perfectly replicates the 1960's Sands environment with stunning accuracy! I don't think it is possible for a recording to sound much better, given the multi-channel tape technology in place, as well as the stunning resolution at which Sinatra's magnificence was recorded with. The largest factors here will be in the reproduction with properly powered and manufactured reference headphones/speakers.
While I cannot attest to the CD version of this album, I can say the surround track of the DVD-Audio is remarkable, as well as the audio engineering at play. From the chime of glasses on the *Copa* Room's tables in the background, to Sinatra's sheer presence, I argue this disk is in a sense, time travel for listeners. If you can afford it, I highly recommend obtaining a copy of this disk while still in circulation!
