A professional company. Products are very good and of a high standard. I have been buying from them for several years and will continue to do so

Century Optics +2 Achromatic Diopter Screw-in Close Up Lens for 72mm
A extremely high quality achromatic diopter, featuring coated optics and a full flat field. I have tested these diopters on HD camera and the results are of broadcast quality. The only drawback is that Century Optics no longer makes these products, so if you want big DOF, flat field and long working distance, then these are the only diopters you need to get (if you can).

Like all things EBay, you get what you pay for. Understanding what you are actually getting is paramount for a buyer/seller win win situation
You get what you pay for and similar models go for approx 5K USD, you should check with the seller if the objective lens rotating head has been damaged or repaired. Because if it has then it will require some proper engineering to repair properly.
The product had at some point been owned by several people and as such was far from a new condition. There had been upon close inspection of it many modifications done. Some incorrectly. It had also suffered damage and there had been a repair done to it. I was not aware of this repair when I purchased it but it is likely the previous owner was also not aware of the repair. The repair failed during transport and now the microscope head requires some serious engineering to rectify, nothing that I can not do. However, what this revealed to me was the poor manufacturing in the first place for such a precision instrument from a well know Japanese company. Albeit, this model was long discontinued although very difficult to purchase secondhand as most people/companies would still be using such a device. The current model is very expensive and the service from Mitutoyo is pathetic for a Japanese company. So if you are considering purchasing such a device then be aware you should be very adept as a microscopist and also as an engineer or have engineering contacts if this thing needs repair because you won't get any help from the manufacturer.
