A Solid Performer
This is an excellent processor for an older AM2+ motherboard that can take the chip (125W). I have good results running W7 and using it to process video, while still being able to surf and check email, etc.

Success times 3+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I upgraded 3 HP Elitebook 820's, 2 gen 1's and one gen 2. I don't know for sure if these will work on all gen 1 & 2's but I think they might. There are 3 ribbon connectors, but only 2 come with the backlit one, so don't throw out the old non-backlit versions unless you remove the ribbon wire that connects to the centered IC on the back of the old one. All the connectors are released/secured via the black part of the ZIF socket. Small fingers are a nice "tool" but mine worked also.

A great device if you are on Fios or need a router with MoCA 2.0
As already stated this item is designed for use on theFrontier Fios system, but it is possible to use it on standard cable systems also, especially if you want to take advantage of it's MoCA LAN capabilities for other devices or access points.
