n awesome playing & sounding bass
2 of 2 found this helpful I love this bass, I have had a few 70's & 80's 4001's & when I got my hands on the 2010 midnight blue 4003 .. the others were sold, even my j bass & p bass.
The one thing that they don't tell you is.. the volume on the strings may be a little bit out of balance.. this is an easy fix.. just use the allen wrench & adjust the pole pieces until your happy.. for what you pay, you'd think the dealer would do this.. but it's no biggie

Great upgrade
The Hipshot bridge is a nice upgrade over the stock Ric bridge.. nice & easy to setup & easier to adjust intonation + now you can adjust individual height & string adjustment... adds even more sustain... wish I would have done this to all my Rics
