Garmin GPS18x OEM version

This model (GPS18x) is the OEM version, designed to wire in to your finished product. If you can't use the Hirose connector on the leads you can replace it with your own connector which does not compromise the warranty. It runs on 5VDC and provides a Pulse-Per-Second output. The outputs are faux-RS232 level so you will need a RS-232 port to communicate with it; Garmin offer a USB version if that's what you need. We've built this into hundreds of final products with very few issues.
It has quite fast "cold start" satellite detection, usually less than a minute. "Warm start" is usually less than 15 seconds. Reception is great, even when in a cityscape of urban canyons or inside wooden buildings.
I will keep buying these as long as Garmin keep making them.
