Dorman 594-275 - Solutions Harmonic Balancer

Who know's what you'll get! NOT for a 1969 351W!!! 1970+ is just fine but it depends....
Here is why I do NOT recommend this part!!!!
This part does NOT work on a 1969 351W unless you change the crank pulley, water pump pulley, timing cover, timing marker, and the water pump....then the radiator.....
1969 balancer should have 3 pulley mounting holes, 1970+ should have 4 holes.
This part DOES fit 1970 and up 351W cars just fine!
UNLESS, you get a 302 part in the box like I did.....which doesn't fit any of the 351's properly.
Site pictures vary widely for this part, some clearly showing 1970 4 hole version, others showing nothing but one side shot which is NOT a 351W balancer. Not sure who made the mistake, but it is being spread like a bad case of.....spoiled beer.
Buyer beware!

All you can get!
This is one of those "replaces a few parts" ......parts! In my case, I am rating this low, as it is a smaller diameter than the original pulley, which decreases the spin speed.....which was my problem..not spinning out the water. This also doesn't just slide on like you would expect a good replacement part to fit. You will probably need to use a hammer and a wood block to get it on without damaging the motor shaft. I never installed mine....I eventually found a proper replacement piece, but it is discontinued part, and I got lucky. Otherwise, this is a good part, made well, and others have seemed to make it work. Just not for me this time........ If I have to do this again, I would need to use this piece!
