Every home should have one.
This is a simple and inexpensive tool. Every home should have own one, or have access to one. Originally purchase to monitor hypertension in one family member, it was subsequently used to check another family member who was found (completely by accident) to have Bradycardia. (Slow pulse.) A whole batch of tests have been done to ensure nothing serious is going on. It's early days yet, but this inexpensive tool may have saved someone's life, just by being available. Buy one.

AEG BSB 18G combi hammer drill.
1 of 1 found this helpful I've owned a couple of these for a little over three years. Mostly for work at home, but I have done a few bits around friends. I have never had to use the second kit, the first has worked perfectly every time I've used it. Batteries last a long time too, though the 'fast-chargers' are really fast.
In use, they perform AT LEAST as well as the better known brands. The chucks are concentric, so round holes are made, not elliptical shaped holes. The electronic brake can be quite fierce in stopping, so the chuck needs to be closed reasonably tightly on a drill bit. This is typical of this technology though, (with all brands except one, which tightens the chuck when braked). The hammer action chews through brick and mortar, even with a fairly large bit.
It's disappointing this brand isn't more widely available in the UK any longer. It offers good value for money with a three year warranty, even for Trade use. Highly recommended.

Inexpensive quality product.
This is a water based product that is easy to clean off brushes, but unlike other solvent based products like paint, water based coverings like this need a different kind of brush to get good results. A coarse brush will leave lines, just as it might with water based paint. Either use a very fine brush, or foam brush/roller. The finish will relax before it sets, but be careful. Too little will leave a stippled texture, too much might permit runs on vertical surfaces. It took 3 coats to get a completely opaque finish of ebony on light coloured wood, which was better than expected. It dried reasonably quickly, and it dried hard enough to lightly rub down after 4 hours.
