Nostalgia cookbook with tasty results.
The Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook, 1950 version reprinted in 1998: the 1998 version is better printed and bound than the current facsimile edition. This cookbook is a nostalgia item that you can still use for great results when cooking basic recipes. In truth, the 1969-1976 version is easier to use because the recipe format is similar to what we see today: ingredient list followed by instructions. In the 1950, Picture version, the recipes and instructions are intermingled, so when shopping or assembling ingredients to cook, you need to read through and extract a list of what is needed. My mother and grandmother used this version and it is the book that I learned to cook with. All of our Christmas cookie recipes came from this book except for a few passed hand to hand.

Just like the 1962 Barbie.
Just like the Barbie I bought as a child in 1962. I had that hair color & style (brunette bubble) because it reminded me of Jackie Kennedy, then First Lady whom I adored. That particular outfit is the one genuine Barbie outfit I was ever able to buy for my original Barbie. Beautiful face and hair. Just like the original. The reproduction Barbie has seams on her legs, but when I look into her face, she looks like my original Barbie, brand new again. I actually HAVE a vintage Barbie of this style, but love this one because she is brand new.
