Supreme Court History
4 of 5 found this helpful Jeffrey Tobin takes the reader on a journey through the secret life of the Supreme Court. The book is clearly assisted by Sandra Day O'Connor as her take on everything is clearly adopted by Jeffrey Tobin. Nonetheless, the recent history of the "Nine" is elegantly protrayed through major cases that allow the lay reader to understand the heart of the matters involved, politically and substantively. At time the substantive discussions of case law are very overbroad and sweeping from a lawyers standpoint, but the book is likely intended for non-lawyers. More history of the early "Nine" would have been a nice addition as well (I.e. More about the Warren Court). Overall a good book. I recommend it.

Good stuff but..
Its a great book but only average in comparison to his other works. Still a quick read and a good biography of his childhood, but lacks the luster of the others like Dry or RUnning with Scissors.

Great subject. Good book.
Great subject matter. Good book. Great to hear the stories that led to the great album and a lead up to the songbook that ended up being a story for a generation.
