Works fine after losing original cord

It helps over short range
2 of 2 found this helpful My computer was dropping it's connection about 45 feet from the router. I think a cast iron tub and plumbing interfered with the signal. I had trouble getting the extender to program until I programmed it right next to the router. It finally read the signal and went through the WPS programming. Then, trying varying locations, I was able to to keep my computer from losing Wi-Fi. It only extended the range about 15 feet, but that was enough in my house. So, it does work, but it would not solve problems in a large building. For $10, it is worth a try.
