This is my second pair. This newer model is lighter. They ski like a much narrower ski on groomers and just blast through crud. Have not had this model in deep powder yet but I am sure it will perform well as my other pair is great in powder. I used to have two sets of skiis and this ski beats the crap out of my carvers and powder skiis. If you are an advanced intermediate or expert these will make you smile. Go cheaper if you never leave the groomers but if you go from ice to groomed runs to crud to powder these skiis are fantastic. I am 5 10. 200 and have no problem with the 182s. Not great bump skiis but they will get you down and handle well enough that you won't feel like hiking. I love these skiis for everything except big moguls but I am too old to beat the crap out of myself anyway.
