A Complicated War-An Easy Reference Tool
Attempting to find out the information regarding the official Rhodesian Awards is very difficult, if not impossible trying to find the government gazette-this is a handy reference book to look up the name of an award winner and see the date it was gazetted. If you collect Rhodesian awards, you need to have this.

The Order of the Bath-not ancient but full of centuries of tradition.
An excellent but dated treatise on the Order of the Bath. It dispels the myths surrounding the founding of the Order as well as explaining the process of knighthood throughout the centuries. A little short on identifying manufacturers in the Victorian to-date eras. However, all-in-all, a good book, well illustrated and worth having for those interested in British orders, royalty and smashing photographs of same.

Written with a sense of humour yet reality of the Uganda Protectorate in the 1950's and 60"s.
Easy reading autobiography of a Scot posted to Uganda in the 1950's prior to the granting of independence. Interesting stories with many insights into the life of a poorly paid civil servant and the expected "do your bit" for Queen and country!
