Outstanding stove!
I just got to field test my new White Box stove in freezing weather and it performed perfectly. I have all sorts of spirit stoves and have always used an Esbit, but for meals prepared with boiling water, this guy is the kitten's mittens. With about an ounce of fuel I was able to heat my meal pack in about 16 oz. of water AND boil another 12 oz. of water for some coffee in a separate container. If one allows the stove to burn uncovered by a pot, however, the fuel burns up super quick. The stove feels really durable and I was able to sort of grind it into the ground to achieve a flat surface with no harm done to the stove. The windscreen is functional and light, but requires the one inch of space between it and the pot (as the instructions say) to allow for a full bloom and maximum efficiency. In closing, I have been camping for about thirty years now and have used everything from Whisperlites to SVEAs to spirit stoves and this thing impresses me the most for it's sheer lightness, simplicity and the fact that it's made from recycled materials. Great job, White Box and don't change a thing unless you have found a way to improve on near perfection!

Truly a movie for, by, and about us heads!
This truly is one of the best stoner flicks since Nice Dreams. It would probably even be funny if you didn't catch one before viewing, but what's the point. Franco (who is completely enjoyable) and Rogen reverse the roles one might expect them to play with Franco being the goofball pot dealer and Rogen being the slightly responsible, almost straight man, and they sold it perfectly. Definately by this one for the dazed and confused person in your life!!!!

These are the best ferro rods I've used
I have used multiple types of ferro rod in the past and they all work with the proper tinder. The difference between them and the Light My Fire rods is the number of strikes and consistency of the results. These things are small and lightweight, but I can get a dried tulip poplar bark bird's nest to ignite in one good strike of the Swedish FireSteel, when it would take two or three from another rod. The shower of sparks is huge when scraped with the provided striker or a well defined knife spine. The heat is definitely there as well. This thing throws sparks that are around the low end temperature of a MIG welder! If you can't get a fire from one of these, then you need to work on your tinder. Oh, yeah. The whistle attached to the striker is really loud and contoured to fit one's thumb so it will always be drawn in the proper direction when used to scrape the rod. Happy trails and may your beards touch your toes.
