Your library is incomplete without it.
Selections are fantastic. I appreciate the way that the bulk of them require re-tuning the G string to F#. This way you can tune your instrument and not have to re-tune it until you move on to different books. Also very good for learning to play in the F# lute tuning. Also a good introduction to the quirky rhythms of the renaissance galliard era.

Where limitations are strengths.
The MM 20 is the core of the Tascam system 20 mixer. I have been able to acquire all of the components (EQ, Mic Expander, and meter bridge) and assemble the complete system. It was designed as a home recordist mixer, one person four tracks of tape. everything is patch bay dependent which makes navigating they system quite complicated. It requires a large number of RCA patch cords which are unsightly and can be confusing. The manual is indispensable. You have to reconfigure the mixer set up for every step of the recording process. That said, making your way through the system 20 is a quintessential hands on learning process if you want to be a recording engineer. you get to completely build your own custom system every time you use it. With that in mind this is doing exactly what I had hoped.

Flexible book for all banjos, plectrum, tenor, six string etc.
Helpful book for making the transition from jazz rhythm guitar to the Dixieland banjo style which is more snare drum like in execution. Useful in learning to superimpose the banjo rhythm patterns on to real life tunes that one would play on a Dixieland gig.
An appendix with two and four bar banjo rhythm patters would be helpful.
