Good Solution for Cordless LED Lighting
There are other LED lights available for gun safes that have wires and plugs, but then you have to get the electric into your safe (higher-end safes already have this). But why go through all of that when these handy little lights are SO EASY?
PROS: Reasonably compact for having 75 LEDs. Takes 3 AAA batteries (not included). Has magnets already imbedded in the back so they already stick to steel. Or they can be mounted with screws (included, similar to hanging a picture frame). Or you could use double-sided tape or Velcro (not included). Could also be used like a flashlight or stuck on the underside of the hood of a car while working on it.
Cons: Made in China - not very sturdy, so don't throw it in your backpack. Should last a while in a safe where it is not used much. Too large to stick on the inside of my door frame, but I made it work. You don't really want these hung so they shine in your face. They are pretty expensive, but then most LED's are. ANd I don't know how I missed this, but this one does not have automatic sensing to turn it on. If you are looking for a manual turn-on light, this one is good. But it won't turn on by sensing movement. Two of the smaller auto-sensing lights are brighter than this one.
Notes: The screen is full of visible LED's, not like the whiteout screen shown in the pic.
Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and glad to finally light up the inside of my safe, but I'm buying a few more of the smaller lights with auto-on instead of this larger manual one.

PERFECT FOR GUNSAFE!

Or they can be mounted with screws (included, similar to hanging a picture frame). Or you could use double-sided tape or Velcro (not included). Senses activity and automatically turns on when in "Auto" mode. Could also be used like a flashlight in "On" mode.
Cons: Made in China - not very sturdy, especially the control switch, so don't throw them in your backpack. But for no-touch use like a safe, they will last a long time. Slightly too large to stick on the inside of my door frame, but I made it work. You don't really want these hung so they shine in your face. They are pretty expensive, but then most LED's are.
Notes: The Auto setting turns the lights off pretty quickly and can even do so while you are getting at things in your safe if it isn't facing so it senses the activity toward the door. The screen is full of visible LED's, not like the whiteout screen shown in the pic. And the sensor is black, not white like the pic. These don't affect function at all.
Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and glad to finally light up the inside of my safe!
