LaserJet 4000 - Solid & reliable since 1997!
These old 4000 series printers are the best in my opinion. Solid, durable, & USA built, has a monthly duty cycle of 65,000 pages. The consumables that do need to be replaced (granted only every 100k-200k pages) are very easy to access on this unit. You can literally change the tray rollers & clutch in under a minute. Fuser literally only two screws.
The only downside is these machines are heavy. 40+ pounds. It doesn't bother me but some may find them difficult to move, and it also adds cost to ship to an otherwise very reasonably priced reliable printer. Solid build quality though.
I love seeing old machines out there still serving their purpose as well as they did when new. My LaserJet 4000, built in 1998, does just that. It even works with the HP print app on my iPhone.
If you need a monochrome printer and don't need a million page-per-minute speed, go with this one. You won't regret it
