Great value these days
1 of 1 found this helpful The Nikon D500 represents great value at today's prices. It is a relatively old model but was considered one of the best when first released. Its cmos sensor, whilst obviously not being as large as the full frame cameras is still very good and this makes it an extremely fast camera for sports or action wildlife photography. Images are still of a high quality and you can use a huge range of lenses from the older DX models to the newer FX full frame lenses. The controls are almost identical to the full frame D810 and D850. There are faster cameras out there, but not by much, and they are all much more expensive. A good buy I think.

Nikon Coolpix 995 Digital Camera
3 of 3 found this helpful This is my second Coolpix 995. I owned one previously, which I lost. And although I have now progressed to Digital SLR photography, I wanted to have another 995 to use as a second camera because of its user-friendliness and sheer versatility. I find the swivel lens irreplaceable in some situations. There is nothing quite like it on the market today. The lens is of excellent quality for its time, which together with the sensor in installed in this model creates high-quality pictures for a camera in its class. Apart from the swivel lens, which incidentally is surprisingly robust and reliable, another of its strong points is the excellent macro capabilities of this camera. I have tried several other cameras of similar age, and in my opinion, none of them are as good as the 995. If you are on a budget, and are looking for a bargain second-hand camera that will deliver consistantly good pictures, this is an excellent choice. The 995 is now an obsolete model, yet it still stands up well against many of the newer models available today.
