Must be heard to be believed
I have 4 versions: the original 1960 LP, the 45 RPM reissue, and the hi Def FLAC version and if you have a system that can reproduce it, this particular version, I.E. the 24bit remastered, ruins all past versions. It is spectacular. If you have a tube system, or a low power audiophile type system, and prefer smoothed over, limited, compressed sound, don't buy it. Stick with previous low dynamics, slurred over versions. If you prefer stunning dynamics and rise time, this is the version for you ! Remember, this could take some systems into clipping and the usual audiophile refrain: "it's too harsh" or "it's not as clean as my original 60 year old antique version".

Love it or hate it depending on your preferences
This version of the Saint Saens Symphony #3 is what I call audiophile grade. That is to say, for the phonograph record crowd. It has low dynamics, a distant perspective, no individual instrument delineation, and overall ho hum sound. I was hoping for the sound I hear at 5th - 10th row center experienced in the concert hall that I get on other labels.
I have a Yamaha Aventage based 11 channel audio system with over 6000 watts in an acoustically treated listening room that can faithfully recreate the concert hall so this recording is not for me.
If you're an analog audiophile with a low power system, who reveres 1960 phonograph record sound, this may be your favorite version of the piece.
As for the conducting and playing, that of course is in the ears of the beholder. I like Leonard Slatkin's conducting style.
