Beautiful piece, but not for a pickguard
This piece is quite lovely. It is as described, and pictured, mother of pearl inlaid into rosewood. Unfortunately, as a pickguard for an acoustic guitar (it is shaped to surround the rosette) it cannot be used. It arrived warped, and despite following the advice to leave compressed under weight (I used 40 lbs for two weeks) the warps did not come out. In fact, it cracked slightly. Because it is lovely, I will likely trim it some to remove warped portions and fix it to one of my solid body electric guitars as an embellishment. In sum, lovely workmanship, but not a great idea. Flexible acrylics seem to be the best approach here rather than wood.

Good stuff
I spent some years looking to replace parts of my roof seal. This is the first place I found the whole thing. It's not a simple job: 3 of us got it done (one holding the roll, one adding glue, and one pressing it in place by hand and with a mallet) in a couple of hours, but it's rock solid now.
