Full as a tic.
After so many great successes I have high expectations for any Rick Bragg book, and he never disappoints. In the case of his latest "The best cook in the world" He,for myself, raises the bar even higher....acquainted with many of the characters from previous books, it's a delight to revisit tales of misadventures and successes related to the down home recipes...Like many of my deep south amigos, I " know" all the folks he's writing about...When my Mississippi grandmother enjoyed a great meal..she often declared she felt " full as a tic."...This book is magnificent on many levels no matter if your from Montana or Maine...The humanity is rich and described in wonderful fashion.

The best.
Fruit cake is akin to liver and buttermilk, folks love it and Love to hate it. I'm in the former camp and enjoy Claxton as the Rolex of fruit cake...consistently delicious..

Dial too dark to read.
Nice size and design but the black dials ruin the function.Solid black dials are practically impossible to see
